We are currently seeking a **Senior Service Center Engineer** to join our regional service center team.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  • Execute customer specifications for the repair, enhancement, or upgrade of equipment.
  • Assess equipment conditions to identify components that can be reused, repaired, or need replacement.
  • Conduct failure analyses and generate detailed technical reports for clients.
  • Outline the necessary scope of work to restore equipment to optimal functionality.
  • Measure and reverse-engineer components not manufactured by Philadelphia Gear.
  • Provide calculations for the production of new gears or the refurbishment of existing ones.
  • Design, specify, and produce detailed drawings of components.
  • Create job travelers that detail the sequence of operations and describe the necessary work for gear repairs or modifications.
  • Assist in the technical training of workshop personnel.
  • Offer technical support to suppliers, clients, field service teams, and customer service.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally may be required.

**Minimum Qualifications:**
  • Bachelor's degree in design or mechanical engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in design or manufacturing engineering, assembly or test supervision, or field service engineering and equipment repair.
  • Experience with mechanical power transmission and gear drives is essential.
  • Basic understanding of fluid film and rolling element bearings, gear design, and vibration analysis is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D modeling.
  • Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft 365/Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
