Position Summary
The Principal or Senior Technical Services Engineer possesses a solid foundation in hydroprocessing applications. This role entails a comprehensive understanding of the processes and operations of hydroprocessing units, alongside an in-depth knowledge of catalysts, kinetics, and their applications in commercial settings.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop technical proposals and reports in collaboration with Account Managers.
- Assist in troubleshooting scenarios.
- Innovate and refine methodologies for catalyst calculations.
- Guide clients in optimizing their operations and catalyst utilization.
- Represent Topsoe at relevant industry conferences.
- Support the sales process during technical and sales meetings.
- Oversee catalyst loading and the initiation of unit operations.
- Foster a strong commitment to safety and a zero-harm mindset.
- Travel up to 30% of the time annually for on-site engagements and client visits with Account Managers.
- Engage in internal training, knowledge sharing, and technical meetings in collaboration with our regional offices and headquarters worldwide.
Preferred Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
- Willingness to relocate to the Houston area.
- Experience in refinery operations, particularly in hydroprocessing applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data interpretation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel; knowledge of Machine Learning is advantageous.
- Adept at troubleshooting with a methodical approach.
- Willingness to travel within North America and occasionally beyond, totaling up to 60-90 days per year.
- Possess a flexible and solution-oriented mindset.
