Philadelphia Gear, a division of Timken Gears and Services, is in search of a **Senior Service Center Engineer** for its regional service center. The Senior Service Center Engineer plays a crucial role in all technical facets that support the operations of the service center and serves as a technical liaison to the corporate engineering department.

**Key Responsibilities** Implement customer specifications for the repair, modification, or enhancement of equipment Assess the condition of machinery and identify components that can be reused, repaired, or need replacement Conduct failure analysis and prepare technical documentation for clients Define the necessary scope of work to restore equipment to optimal functionality Measure and reverse engineer non-standard components Provide calculations for the production of new gears or the refurbishment of existing ones Design, specify, and produce detailed drawings of components Create job travelers that outline the sequence of operations and detail the work required for repairs or modifications of gears, components, and machinery Assist in the technical training of workshop personnel Offer technical support to suppliers, clients, field service, and customer service teams Occasional travel may be necessary.

**Minimum Qualifications** Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or design engineering A minimum of 5 years of experience in design or manufacturing engineering, assembly or testing supervision, or field service engineering and equipment repair Experience with mechanical power transmission and gear systems is essential Basic understanding of fluid film and rolling element bearings, gear design, and vibration analysis is highly desirable Proficient in SolidWorks 3D modeling Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft 365/Office Suite Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
