JOB OVERVIEW

The Operations Engineering Professional will be responsible for creating operational documentation, procedures, and other support materials for all systems linked to onshore and offshore Oil and Gas facilities. Additionally, this role will assist the Operations Team to ensure that all projects are executed and finalized within the established timeline and budget.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Core Duties Include:

  • Conduct thorough oversight and monitoring of all ongoing project activities, ensuring that all objectives are met within the designated timeframe and budget constraints.
  • Generate technical deliverables (documentation) to guarantee adherence to project specifications - utilizing templates that have been agreed upon and sanctioned by the Client. This typically involves the creation of Operating Manuals and Procedures for equipment.
  • Notify the Senior Operations Engineering Professional or Operations Engineering Manager regarding anticipated technical challenges, limitations, and/or any possible deficiencies.
  • Identify and address issues related to document creation, production, and technical compliance as necessary.
  • Collaborate with Clients and all relevant third parties concerning project scopes under the guidance of the Senior Operations Engineering Professional.
  • Participate in Client technical meetings as required.
  • Engage in weekly project meetings as necessary.
  • Deliver comprehensive and timely progress updates to the Senior Operations Engineering Professional and/or Project Manager.
  • Ensure that all tasks are executed in alignment with the Company Business (Quality) Management System - utilize and maintain discipline check-sheets for all development efforts.
  • Manage personal work plan and prioritize tasks while cooperating with the rest of the team.
  • Maintain proactive communication with the Operations Team lead and Project Manager regarding all project-related issues.
  • Assist in the evaluation and preparation of bids/tenders/quotations as required by the Senior Operations Engineering Professional and/or Project Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of practical operational experience in the oil and gas, marine, or petrochemical sectors.
  • A Bachelor's or Associate's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Authorization to work legally in the US without sponsorship from Wood is essential.
Minimum Experience:
  • Robust understanding of Operations and Maintenance practices, including industry best practices and regulatory documentation requirements.
  • Ability to articulate the functionality of Oil & Gas equipment.
  • Proficient in swiftly reviewing detailed engineering schematics, such as P&IDs, Cause & Effect, and Alarm Set Point registers, and understanding their significance in developing Operations manuals and procedures.
  • Hands-on experience in Operations and Maintenance is necessary.
  • Strong Technical Writing Skills are required.
  • Familiarity with Upstream, Midstream, and Downstream Industry requirements.
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Projects.
