Position Title: Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer - Equipment Integration

Job Overview:
The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) division is in search of a Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer - Equipment Integration. This role is integral to the KC-46 Aerial Refueling AROS Systems Team, which focuses on the design, production, and ongoing support of the aerial refueling AROS system. The team collaborates closely with equipment vendors, flight testing teams, production units, and military clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to deliver a cutting-edge AROS console.
- Lead efforts to analyze and convert requirements into system architecture, hardware, software designs, and interface specifications.
- Oversee testing and validation processes to ensure system designs fulfill operational and functional criteria.
- Monitor supplier performance to guarantee system integration and adherence to specifications.
- Manage supplier development, testing, and production activities, coordinating with suppliers to enhance design and meet program objectives.
- Address issues related to fielded hardware and software throughout the product lifecycle.
- Develop, integrate, and document requirements to define the system design.
- Create, maintain, or adjust system, component, and installation designs using advanced 3-D Computer Aided Engineering tools.
- Conduct and document analyses and test results to verify that systems and components meet established requirements.
- Innovate new design and analysis processes and tools to boost the effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of development efforts.
Work Environment:
This role is hybrid, requiring some onsite work at designated locations, as determined by the hiring team.
Security Clearance:
This position necessitates the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Systems or Design Engineering.
- At least 3 years of leadership or project management experience.
- Experience with requirements, designs, and design analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in Avionics/Electronics development.
- Familiarity with FAA or Military Type Certification.
- Experience working with military clients.
- Supplier management experience.
- Knowledge of DO-160 or equivalent systems certification guidelines.
- Experience with Hardware/Systems Qualification and Testing.
