Position Overview:
Reports to: Program Director
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Hours: 35 hours per week, Exempt

Salary Range: $66,000 - $75,000 Annually

Position Summary:
The Social Services Supervisor for the Brooklyn Transitions Program oversees clinical casework and case management services, ensuring compliance with professional standards and agency policies. This specialized program addresses the needs of families facing substance use and mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership:

  • Collaborate with the Program Director to manage daily operations.
  • Recruit, onboard, and supervise staff to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Participate in home visits and court hearings as necessary.
  • Respond to requests for data and case information.
  • Facilitate connections to other programs and services.
  • Engage with external partners to ensure safety and appropriate services.
  • Represent program needs at required meetings and trainings.
  • Manage case-related crises with professionalism.

Program Implementation:

  • Oversee intake assessments and case assignments.
  • Contribute to clinical team meetings with best practice recommendations.
  • Implement Solution Based Casework principles.
  • Provide guidance to staff on case management practices.
  • Participate in ongoing training and certification processes.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Conduct monthly supervisory case reviews.
  • Ensure adherence to contractual obligations and performance targets.
  • Review and approve documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct safety and risk assessments for families.
  • Evaluate staff performance and training needs.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Preferred NYS Licensure (LMSW, LMHC, LCAT).
  • Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in a related setting.
  • Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are preferred.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Availability to work evenings as needed.
  • Commitment to a strength-based, trauma-informed approach.
  • SBC certification is a plus.
