Position Overview

The Social Services Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with all relevant federal, state, and accrediting bodies to provide a comprehensive range of services for clients within the program. This position assists the Program Director in overseeing mental health services and may involve responsibilities related to personnel management, financial operations, inventory oversight, client services, and the safety and well-being of recipients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support Clinical Services: In the absence of the Program Director, you will guide clinical treatment services, ensuring the development and execution of service plans that address rehabilitative needs and mental health challenges.
  2. Maintain a Therapeutic Environment: Ensure a safe and supportive atmosphere for clients, overseeing intake processes and conducting individual assessments in collaboration with team members.
  3. Provide Clinical Oversight: Monitor the quality of rehabilitative services, offer counseling and crisis intervention, and ensure staff are equipped with necessary information regarding clients' medical and psychological backgrounds.
  4. Personnel Management: Assist in establishing work schedules, managing staff performance evaluations, and ensuring compliance with attendance policies.
  5. Quality Assurance: Participate in developing program goals and quality improvement plans, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
  6. Fiscal Responsibility: Assist in budget management, monitor spending patterns, and oversee client funds to maximize revenue.
  7. Community Relations: Promote mental health initiatives within the community, collaborating with local organizations to enhance service access for clients.

Qualifications:

A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of two years of experience working with individuals facing serious mental health challenges. Supervisory experience is preferred, particularly with young adults and families, and familiarity with trauma-informed practices is highly desirable.
