Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administration Technician to manage and oversee records archiving and management tasks within a customer records center. This role is essential in supporting our declassification initiatives and ensuring compliance with security protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Administration Technician, your primary duties will include:
  • Maintaining precise indices and finding aids utilizing the government’s SMART2 automated system for effective inventory management.
  • Conducting thorough and accurate inventories to ensure all records are accounted for.
  • Responding promptly and accurately to customer requests related to archival and records center needs, adhering to established timelines.

Required Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A solid understanding of security requirements with the ability to comply effectively.
  • Strong administrative skills, including record keeping, report preparation, and general support for team operations.
  • The capacity to adapt to evolving work demands and priorities, working independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Interpersonal skills that foster teamwork and collaboration, sharing knowledge and information effectively.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities and a keen attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to lift and transport boxes weighing up to 40 pounds and the willingness to navigate ladders as necessary. Candidates should also be capable of moving carts and pallets of records using appropriate equipment.

Educational Background:

A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or a BS/BA degree with at least 1 year of related experience is required.
