About the Role

The U.S. Army is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Patient Administration Specialist. As a key member of the medical team, you will be responsible for supervising and performing administrative duties in the patient administration division of an Army hospital or other medical facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compile and Analyze Data: Gather and review medical records, statistics, and other relevant data to prepare reports and presentations.
  • Correspondence and Communication: Initiate and respond to correspondence related to medical records, medical board proceedings, and other patient administration matters.
  • Medical Terminology and Record-Keeping: Apply knowledge of medical terminology to accurately maintain and update patient records, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as medical terminology, record-keeping, and administrative procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in medical administration or a related field preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Physical and Mental Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform tasks that require prolonged sitting, standing, and walking.
