Job Title: Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at NEXDINE Hospitality. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food production.
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and labor expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement new menu items and culinary concepts.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Excellent culinary skills, including knife skills, cooking techniques, and menu planning.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
