Job Summary

Columbine Family Practice is seeking a highly skilled Front Office Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our front desk. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing front desk staff, creating workflows that enhance the patient experience, and ensuring seamless administrative processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage front desk operations, including scheduling, staff development, and training.
  • Enforce attendance, punctuality, and dependability guidelines.
  • Handle patient and staff complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Complete administrative tasks to ensure smooth patient visits, accurate billing, and a clutter-free front office.
  • Collect co-pays and balances due in accordance with patient insurance guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized lobby and front desk area.
  • Perform clerical activities related to appointment scheduling, patient intake, data verification, office communications, and filing of patient records.
  • Prepare the office for opening and clean up at the end of the day.
  • Coordinate front office meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with OMG standards, policies, and procedures, as well as government guidelines, including HIPAA and privacy laws.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalency.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a physician office or clinical environment.
  • Customer Service Experience.
  • Strong computer skills required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Some college – medical, business, accounting focus.
  • Supervisor experience preferred.
  • Current CPR card.
  • EMR experience preferred – Athenahealth practice management system.
Work Environment

This position requires standing, using hands to handle objects, reaching, talking, and hearing. Occasional walking, sitting, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be required. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is $25 - $30 per hour.
