About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator/Medical Assistant to join our team at OnPoint Medical Group. As a key member of our front office team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical clinics.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Greeting and Registration: Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner, register new patients, and verify patient information for existing patients.
  2. Pre-Visit Planning: Complete pre-visit planning, including contacting patients for updated insurance information, verifying insurance, and updating patient records.
  3. Administrative Duties: Perform administrative tasks to ensure patient visits are smooth, billing is processed in a timely manner, and the front office remains organized.
  4. Communication: Answer inbound calls to schedule patients, act as a liaison to clinical staff for patient questions, and complete outbound calls to schedule appointments.
  5. Medical Assistant Duties: Back up medical assistants as needed, including rooming patients, documenting vitals, populating electronic medical records, and assisting providers during examinations.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or High School Equivalency
  • Experience: Formal training or experience as a medical assistant, with a strong background in customer service and computer skills.
  • Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a strong attention to detail.
