About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at OnPoint Medical Group. As a key member of our front office staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical clinics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greeting Patients: Provide a warm and welcoming experience for patients and their families, setting the tone for their visit.
  • Pre-Visit Planning: Coordinate with patients to verify insurance, update records, and prepare for their appointment.
  • Registration and Verification: Accurately register new patients and verify existing patient information to ensure seamless care.
  • Financial Transactions: Collect co-pays and payments, and process billing in a timely manner.
  • Scheduling and Communication: Schedule appointments, answer patient inquiries, and serve as a liaison between clinical staff and patients.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain a clutter-free and organized front office, ensuring efficient workflow and effective communication.
  • Outbound Calls: Schedule appointments and follow up with patients to ensure their needs are met.
  • Service Standards: Meet or exceed established service standards, providing exceptional patient care and satisfaction.
  • Confidentiality and HIPAA: Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or High School Equivalency
  • Computer Skills: Strong proficiency in computer applications and software
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a business office or clinical environment
  • Preferred Qualifications: Some college education in a medical, business, or accounting field; customer service experience; current CPR certification; bilingual skills; and experience with EMR systems, such as Athenahealth practice management system
