Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Systems Specialist to join our dynamic team at Cummins Inc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compliance Enhancement: Conduct comprehensive internal audits including Quality Management System (QMS), manufacturing processes, and product evaluations to ensure adherence to ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and specific customer requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Lead root cause analysis efforts and address non-conformances to identify and eliminate issues, promoting a culture of ongoing enhancement.
  • Technical Knowledge: Utilize your expertise in manufacturing processes, risk assessments, and control plans to establish effective process controls and risk management strategies.
  • Employee Training: Organize and facilitate training sessions to equip team members with the necessary skills and knowledge to uphold high-quality standards.
  • Audit Management: Oversee and maintain the audit schedule and documentation to ensure efficient and systematic audit processes.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze audit-related data to generate insightful reports that aid in informed decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Quality Systems Education: Deliver targeted education and training related to quality systems to enhance overall organizational competency and compliance.
  • Documentation Standards: Support the documentation of essential processes and maintain the Quality Manual to ensure clarity and consistency in quality standards.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Engagement Strategies: Create a motivating environment where team members are inspired to perform at their best, recognizing achievements and providing constructive feedback.
  • Quality Leadership: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the Cummins Operating System (COS) and its principles, applying them to Total Quality Management (TQM) for performance assessment and quality culture development.
  • Quality Systems Management: Employ quality tools and processes to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of the quality management system, meeting customer and business needs.
  • Technical Expertise: Maintain a strong grasp of manufacturing processes, risk analysis, and control plans to conduct effective audits and ensure robust process controls.
  • Training and Development: Plan and lead training initiatives to ensure team members possess the necessary knowledge and skills for maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Education and Certifications: An associate degree or equivalent experience is required. IATF ISO 9001 Internal Auditor training and Six Sigma Green Belt training are preferred.
  • Experience: Proven ability to conduct process-based and risk-based audits, with experience in initiating and monitoring corrective actions based on audit findings.

Additional Information:
This position may require compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Candidates should have proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. This is an onsite role.
