Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Quality System Technician to join our team at Cummins Inc. specializing in Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compliance Enhancement: Conduct comprehensive internal audits including QMS, manufacturing processes, and product evaluations to ensure adherence to ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and specific customer requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Lead root cause analysis efforts and address non-conformances to identify and eliminate issues, promoting a culture of ongoing enhancement.
  • Technical Knowledge: Utilize your expertise in manufacturing processes, risk assessments, and control plans to ensure effective process controls and risk management.
  • Employee Training: Organize and conduct training sessions to equip team members with essential knowledge and skills for maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Audit Management: Oversee and maintain the audit schedule and records to ensure systematic and efficient audit operations.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze audit-related data to generate insightful reports that support informed decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Quality Systems Education: Provide targeted education and training related to quality systems to enhance organizational competency and compliance.
  • Documentation and Standardization: Assist in documenting key processes and maintaining the Quality Manual to ensure clarity and consistency in quality standards.

  • Quality Leadership: Demonstrate a solid understanding of the Cummins Operating System (COS) and apply its principles to Total Quality Management (TQM) for performance assessment and quality culture development.
  • Quality Systems Management: Implement quality tools and processes to ensure the quality management system is well-understood and effectively maintained.
  • Technical Proficiency: Maintain in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, risk analysis, and control plans to conduct effective audits.
  • Training and Development: Lead training initiatives to ensure team members are equipped with necessary skills for high-quality standards.
  • Education and Certifications: An associate degree or equivalent experience is required. Candidates should be IATF ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Trained and Six Sigma Green Belt trained, with a willingness to pursue certification.
  • Experience: Proven ability to conduct process-based and risk-based audits, monitor corrective actions, and lead various QMS audits.

Additional Information:
This position may require compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Candidates should have experience with Microsoft Office programs. This is an onsite role.
