POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Property Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Property Manager with the daily operations of the property. This position requires a proactive individual who can take on additional responsibilities as they gain expertise in property management and demonstrate sound judgment. The Assistant Manager is the key point of contact for the property in the absence of the Property Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management:
    • Oversee rent collection processes, including payment processing, daily deposits, and issuing notices for non-payment.
    • Track invoices and deposits, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
    • Assist with legal proceedings related to overdue accounts.
    • Maintain knowledge of state regulations concerning debt collection.
  • Leasing and Marketing:
    • Update the Yardi system daily with information on prospective and current residents, including move-ins and move-outs.
    • Ensure accuracy in leases and related documents regarding tenant information and rental rates.
    • Keep resident files organized and up-to-date.
    • Contribute to marketing initiatives by providing insights on promotions and pricing strategies.
    • Support leasing activities as required.
    • Stay informed about market trends and competitive properties.
    • Assist with lease renewals for existing residents.
    • Implement effective resident screening processes.
  • Additional Duties:
    • Deliver exceptional customer service to residents and vendors.
    • Maintain a professional and positive attitude.
    • Assist the Property Manager with various tasks as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 2 years of experience in property management.
  • Proficient in computer systems, particularly OneSite/RealPage.
  • Strong customer service skills with effective decision-making and leadership capabilities.
  • Willingness to work occasional Saturdays in exchange for a weekday off.
