The Capital Area Division (CAD) of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is in search of a dynamic and seasoned

Program Manager

with a proven track record in assisting governmental entities with the strategic planning and implementation of extensive technological initiatives.

We are particularly interested in a program manager to oversee local operations that contribute to the creation of a comprehensive system integrating space, land, air, and naval surface warfare, electronic warfare, tactical intelligence, and special operations components.

The ideal candidate for this contingent role will provide support to the Department of Defense in the National Capital Region.
This role, which is integral to the DoD's Assault Breaker II (ABII) program, necessitates a professional with experience in various program leadership and coordination tasks, including:

  • Facilitating technology transition and participating in working groups
  • Coordinating team activities and timelines
  • Representing the ARA contractor team on-site
  • Identifying and implementing advanced modeling & simulation capabilities to aid in the transition of cutting-edge warfighting architectures for operational application and the development of necessary capabilities to achieve those designs
  • Formulating strategic and technical plans
  • Conducting research to support procurement processes, timelines, and technology/system transfer
  • Providing support for assessments, demonstrations, and field trials
  • Assisting in the formation of senior advisory panels to conduct studies and evaluations on the systems and technologies underpinning ABII
  • Contributing to systems architecture development

Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Current and active TS clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Demonstrated experience in a program management capacity
  • Experience in one or more of the following domains: space, land, air, naval surface warfare, electronic warfare, tactical intelligence, special operations, and wargaming
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills along with excellent time management abilities

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting the Office of the Secretary of Defense and/or DARPA
  • Involvement in modeling and simulation activities
  • Expertise in kill chain analysis
  • Capability gap analysis experience

This position is contingent upon the award of a contract supporting the Department of Defense.
