The Activities Coordinator at Sunrise is essential in orchestrating daily programs and events that enhance the lives of our residents in a senior living community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate volunteer-driven activities and programs that enrich the experiences of residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care.
  • Collaborate with various department coordinators and the Executive Director to foster relationships with local educational institutions, businesses, and community organizations to create a robust network of volunteers and resources.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive calendar of activities and events that cater to both residents and their families.
  • Oversee budget preparation and monitor financial statements to ensure alignment with revenue and budgetary goals.
  • Manage leadership tasks including the recruitment, training, and retention of a high-performing team.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience in a related field, preferably within a senior living context.
  • High school diploma is required; a college degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to train and inspire volunteers and team members to deliver exceptional activity programming.
  • Must hold relevant state certifications or licenses, such as a CDL (commercial driver's license).
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations regarding resident care and services.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) and adaptable to new software applications.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends to accommodate the needs of residents and team members.
