The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Miami, alongside the NCI-designated Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, is initiating a search for an academic psychiatrist specializing in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry. The selected candidates will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psycho-oncology professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, oncology social workers, and other healthcare providers delivering oncology services.

Position Responsibilities

The appointee will deliver psychiatric consultation-liaison services in both inpatient and outpatient oncology environments. As a faculty member within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, the individual will be expected to engage in psycho-oncology education and training initiatives. Opportunities for research in psycho-oncology are also available.

Essential Qualifications
  • Board certification in Psychiatry.
  • Board eligibility or certification in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry is preferred, although relevant experience will be taken into account.
  • A demonstrated interest or training in psycho-oncology is preferred.
