Neuroradiology Clinical Faculty Position

Position Overview:

The Division of Neuroradiology within the Department of Radiology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is actively seeking a fellowship-trained professional for a full-time faculty role at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor in the Clinical Educator Track.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The selected candidate will collaborate with a team of 11 fellowship-trained, CAQ-certified Neuroradiologists.
  • Responsibilities include interpreting imaging studies from various facilities, including a prominent county hospital and the University of Miami Hospitals and Clinics.
  • The candidate will also engage in clinical care, teaching, and potential research activities.
  • Participation in academic events such as grand rounds, journal clubs, and multidisciplinary conferences is expected.
  • Opportunities to mentor and train faculty and staff physicians will be available.
  • Conducting research and publishing findings in reputable academic journals is encouraged.
  • Representing the institution at conferences and delivering presentations as needed.
  • Teaching and supervising both undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Active involvement in faculty and departmental meetings to contribute to discussions and improvements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of Radiology training and passing the ABR core exam (or ABR-certified).
  • Eligibility for an unrestricted medical license in Florida and completion of a fellowship in Neuroradiology.
  • Possession of an M.D., D.O., Ph.D., or equivalent in medicine, with eligibility for full medical licensure in Florida.
  • Demonstrated excellence in academic achievement through scientific presentations and publications.

Note: To qualify for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign medical schools must provide proof of successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or an equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
