Abdominal Imaging Clinical Faculty Position

The Division of Abdominal Imaging within the Department of Radiology at the University of Miami Health System is in search of a fellowship-trained professional for a full-time faculty role at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor in the Clinical Educator Track.

  • The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of 9 Body Imaging radiologists engaged in imaging services across various facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clinical imaging services, including the interpretation of X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and Ultrasound examinations.
  • Conduct non-invasive fluoroscopic procedures as needed.
  • Engage in the education of residents, fellows, and medical students.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives, journal clubs, and weekly multidisciplinary meetings.
  • Serve on departmental committees as requested by the Chair of Radiology.
  • Mentor and train other faculty and staff physicians.
  • Conduct research and publish findings in reputable academic journals.
  • Represent the institution at professional conferences and deliver presentations as required.
  • Attend faculty and departmental meetings, contributing insights and suggestions for enhancement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have completed a fellowship in Body Imaging.
  • Both junior faculty and more experienced candidates with a strong academic record will be considered.
  • M.D. or D.O., Ph.D., or equivalent in medicine, with eligibility for full medical licensure in the State of Florida.
  • Demonstrated excellence in academic achievement through a record of scientific presentations and/or publications.

To qualify for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign medical schools must demonstrate successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or an equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
