The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Miami, alongside the NCI-designated Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, is initiating a search for an academic psychiatrist specializing in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry.
Successful candidates will collaborate with a team of psycho-oncology professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, oncology social workers, and other multidisciplinary team members delivering oncology services.
Job Responsibilities:The selected candidate will deliver psychiatric consultation-liaison services within both inpatient and outpatient oncology environments. As a faculty member within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, the individual will also engage in psycho-oncology education and training initiatives.
Research opportunities in the field of psycho-oncology are readily available.
Minimum Qualifications:- Board certification in Psychiatry.
- Board eligibility/certification in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry is preferred, though relevant experience will be taken into account.
- A demonstrated interest or training in psycho-oncology is preferred.
