Faculty Position in Clinical Radiology

The University of Miami Health System is actively seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time faculty role within the Division of Abdominal Imaging, situated in the Department of Radiology. This position is available at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor, specifically within the Clinical Educator Track.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clinical imaging services, including the interpretation of X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and Ultrasound examinations.
  • Perform non-invasive fluoroscopic procedures as required.
  • Engage in the education of residents, fellows, and medical students.
  • Contribute to clinical research initiatives, participate in journal clubs, and attend weekly multidisciplinary conferences.
  • Serve on departmental committees as directed by the Chair of Radiology.
  • Mentor and train faculty and staff physicians.
  • Conduct research and publish findings in peer-reviewed academic journals.
  • Represent the institution at professional conferences and deliver presentations as necessary.
  • Participate in faculty and departmental meetings, providing constructive feedback and suggestions for enhancement.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have completed a fellowship in Body Imaging.
  • Consideration will be given to both junior faculty and more experienced candidates with a robust academic record.
  • Applicants must possess an M.D. or D.O., Ph.D., or equivalent in medicine, along with eligibility for full medical licensure in the State of Florida.
  • A proven track record of academic excellence, demonstrated through scientific presentations and/or publications, is essential.

Note: For candidates seeking University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, those who graduated from foreign medical schools must provide evidence of successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or an equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
