Position Overview:

Compensation: $45, $76,097.49

The Sales Support Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting Sales Executives and Directors at Yusen Logistics to foster new business opportunities. This role collaborates closely with branch operations, product teams, and sales leadership to facilitate the complete business development process as required. The position is situated within a branch office of the Contract Logistics Group (CLG).

Key Responsibilities:

Account Management and Customer Engagement:

  • Assist Sales Executives and Directors in delivering tailored solutions, pricing, proposals, and pertinent information to clients by sourcing data from operations, product teams, and other internal resources.
  • Act as the primary contact for clients, internal operations, and the sales team.
  • Support Sales Executives and Directors in addressing escalated customer inquiries related to sales opportunities by coordinating with operations, product teams, and both domestic and international offices.

Support for Sales Executives and Directors:

  • Help Sales Executives in crafting proposals and quotes that align with customer requirements.
  • Actively engage in assisting Sales Executives during the onboarding process of new clients.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as necessary.
  • Facilitate the Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Request for Information (RFI) processes led by the sales team.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in the Freight Forwarding sector is required.
  • A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory; an associate degree is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
  • Prior experience in sales is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent problem-solving, prioritization, and organizational capabilities.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, confidence, and patience at all times.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work effectively and add value with minimal supervision.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensure regular and punctual attendance.
  • Engage with colleagues and clients in a professional manner.
  • Utilize a computer for tasks such as updating CRM systems and communicating via email and voice.
  • Present information to clients and stakeholders in a professional and effective manner.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office is required.
