The Sales Support Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting Sales Executives and Directors in driving new business initiatives for Yusen Logistics. This role involves close collaboration with branch operations, product teams, and sales leadership to facilitate the entire business development process as required. This position is situated within a branch office of the Contract Logistics Group (CLG).

Key Responsibilities:

Client and Account Management:

  • Assist Sales Executives and Directors in crafting tailored solutions, quotes, proposals, and other essential information for clients by sourcing data from operations, product teams, and other internal departments.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, internal operations, and the sales team.
  • Support Sales Executives and Directors in addressing escalated customer inquiries related to sales opportunities by coordinating with operations, product teams, and both domestic and international offices.

Sales Executive and Director Support:

  • Help Sales Executives in developing proposals and quotes aligned with customer requirements.
  • Engage actively in the onboarding process for new customers alongside Sales Executives.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as necessary.
  • Support the sales team in managing the Request for Quotations (RFQ) and Request for Information (RFI) processes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in the Freight Forwarding Industry is required.
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required; an associate degree is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
  • Prior experience in sales is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent problem-solving, prioritization, and organizational capabilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, confidence, and patience at all times.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work effectively and add value with minimal supervision.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensure regular and punctual attendance.
  • Engage with employees and clients in a professional manner.
  • Utilize a computer for tasks such as updating CRM systems and communicating via email and voice.
  • Present information to clients and stakeholders in a polished and effective manner.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
