Position Summary
As a Senior Continuous Improvement Specialist, you will oversee significant and intricate improvement initiatives or projects, utilizing project management and continuous improvement methodologies to achieve impactful results. This role collaborates with key leaders to comprehensively manage continuous improvement activities and projects. You will also mentor and guide continuous improvement and project management practices at all organizational levels, enhancing the capabilities of caregivers through the Cleveland Clinic Improvement Model (CCIM).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead operational teams in understanding the Cleveland Clinic Improvement Model (CCIM), focusing on organizational alignment, visual management, problem-solving, and standardization.
  • Develop and sustain CCIM program initiatives across designated areas, managing large or complex projects with advanced continuous improvement and project management tools.
  • Instruct, coach, and mentor leadership and frontline caregivers on continuous improvement best practices.
  • Enhance the capabilities of customers and CI team members by analyzing and measuring the effectiveness of existing processes to create sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable improvements.
  • Manage a portfolio of substantial improvement activities, ensuring measurable outcomes.
  • Research best practices internally and externally, applying insights to assigned areas.
  • Foster effective working relationships across all organizational levels to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Identify organizational needs, develop, and implement plans to address them using the Continuous Improvement model.
  • Support CI team members in navigating organizational dynamics.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to drive decision-making for business success.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • In lieu of a Master's Degree, six years of process improvement experience or a Lean Certification may be acceptable.
  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or Lean Certification preferred.
  • Minimum six years of business or healthcare experience, with a focus on process improvement or project management.
  • Experience in a transformation or change agent role within a Lean transformation environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across all organizational levels.
  • Healthcare experience is preferred.
