Position SummaryAs a Senior Insights Lead at our forward-thinking innovation agency, you will be crucial in spearheading the development of groundbreaking products and solutions across consumer, healthcare, and industrial sectors. Your role will involve leading qualitative and industrial insights initiatives, collaborating closely with a diverse team that includes industrial designers, engineers, and marketing professionals. Your expertise will be essential in identifying market opportunities, understanding customer needs, and analyzing industry trends, ensuring our innovations are based on thorough, actionable insights.
Key ResponsibilitiesQualitative Research Leadership:
- Oversee the design and implementation of qualitative research initiatives, such as ethnographic studies, in-depth interviews, focus groups, and collaborative workshops.
- Evaluate and interpret qualitative data to reveal profound insights into customer behaviors, requirements, and challenges.
Industrial Insights Expertise:
- Conduct in-depth research on industrial sectors, emerging technologies, competitive landscapes, and regulatory frameworks.
- Monitor and analyze industry trends, innovations, and disruptions that may influence our clients' markets and product strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Engage with industrial designers, engineers, and marketing teams to ensure insights are seamlessly integrated into product development and marketing strategies.
- Facilitate brainstorming sessions and workshops to convert insights into practical design and business strategies.
Strategic Guidance:
- Formulate strategic recommendations based on insights to direct product development, innovation pathways, and market entry plans.
- Deliver insights and strategic recommendations to senior management and clients, clearly conveying the business implications of your findings.
Client Engagement:
- Collaborate with clients to comprehend their business challenges and objectives, customizing research methodologies to address their needs.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering expert insights that foster innovation and competitive edge.
Reporting & Communication:
- Develop engaging reports, presentations, and visual narratives that effectively convey insights to both internal teams and clients.
- Ensure insights are accessible, actionable, and motivate teams to create innovative solutions that fulfill market demands.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in insights or research roles, emphasizing qualitative and industrial insights.
- Demonstrated success in leading impactful insights projects within innovation, product development, or industrial contexts.
- Consulting experience is advantageous.
Skills:
- Proficient in qualitative research methodologies, including ethnography, in-depth interviews, and user-centered design research.
- Comprehensive understanding of industrial markets, technologies, and trends, with the capability to translate this knowledge into strategic insights.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams and clients.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, capable of synthesizing complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Familiarity with research tools and software, along with experience in data visualization and storytelling.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Market Research, Industrial Design, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Advanced degree is a plus.
