Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a portfolio of continuous improvement initiatives to deliver prescribed results and drive business value.
  • Develop and implement a culture of continuous improvement enterprise-wide, leveraging the Cleveland Clinic Improvement Method (CCIM).
  • Establish goals and strategies for growing the return on investment (ROI) of continuous improvement activities.
  • Teach, coach, and mentor executive leaders on continuous improvement best practices and principles.
  • Standardize and govern processes, tools, and templates to ensure team compliance and maintain integrity.
  • Develop and manage relationships with peer groups within and external to Cleveland Clinic to identify and execute portfolio opportunities.
  • Lead, train, and advise on the collection and analysis of process data to initiate, develop, and recommend practices and procedures that enhance safety, increase productivity, and reduce costs.
  • Teach, coach, and mentor Clinical Transformation team members to develop and enhance continuous improvement skills and practices.
  • Assist the team in navigating organizational climate and complexities.
  • Utilize customer orientation and ability to clearly match support tools and services to stakeholder needs.
  • Engage, develop, and manage team members through performance management, talent management, and succession planning.
  • Encourage and enable research of best practices within and outside the organization.
  • Partner and establish credibility to represent Cleveland Clinic and CI during external outreach or industry interface.
Requirements
  • English language proficiency.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • In lieu of master's degree, 9 years of process improvement experience or a Lean Certification may suffice.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and Lean Certification preferred.
Work Experience
  • Ten years of business or healthcare experience with at least seven years of experience leading process improvement, transformation, and project management.
  • Six or more years demonstrating the ability to manage a large team of high-functioning individual contributors.
  • Experience in transformation/change agent role within an organization engaged in a Lean transformation preferred.
  • Able to navigate and operate in the organization at all levels to achieve results using industry knowledge.
  • Senior-level experience building and managing a team to advance and support continuous improvement throughout the enterprise.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach/coach/influence/advise leadership at all levels regarding continuous improvement principles and practices and role of leader in a continuous improvement organization, in a complex, fast-paced, matrixed organization.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment.
  • In some locations, ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
  • In some locations ability to move up to 25 lbs.
Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $57.19

Maximum hourly: $91.52
