Position Summary:

The Lead Compensation Strategist is tasked with formulating and executing the organization's compensation framework. This role demands expertise in crafting initiatives that attract, nurture, motivate, and retain top-tier talent, thereby aligning with the strategic objectives of the organization. The ideal candidate will possess the acumen to identify and resolve intricate challenges while ensuring the precision and timeliness of deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement comprehensive compensation strategies and policies, including incentive structures, sales commission frameworks, and recognition programs that enhance the organization's ability to attract and retain talent.
  • Ensure the organization adopts competitive and industry-leading compensation practices.
  • Develop and maintain innovative employee incentive programs that align with organizational performance metrics.
  • Serve as a liaison between the compensation and benefits functions and other departments to promote effective communication and consistency in policies.
  • Conduct ongoing market surveys to remain informed about competitive compensation levels for various roles.
  • Oversee the administration of various compensation plans, including short-term incentives, merit increases, and executive compensation.
  • Direct the communication of compensation programs to enhance understanding and acceptance among employees.
  • Integrate compensation programs for new hires resulting from mergers and acquisitions.
  • Identify potential compensation issues and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Benchmark compensation practices across all reward areas to ensure global competitiveness.
  • Manage the HRIS system (Paylocity) effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Certification as a Compensation Professional (CCP) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in compensation management.
  • 2-3 years in a senior-level strategic role, preferably in a multi-divisional context.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in human resource functions, particularly in developing comprehensive compensation packages.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
  • Proficient in managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel for detailed calculations, modeling, and analysis related to compensation and benefits.
  • Familiarity with Paylocity, salary surveys, benchmarking, and global compensation tools.
  • Expertise in change management, with the ability to influence stakeholders towards unified goals.

Physical Requirements:

  • Visual acuity for close and distant vision, as well as peripheral vision.
  • Low noise level, typical of an office environment.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
