Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer to lead continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing rework, enhancing efficiency, and increasing throughput across departments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Turning, Milling, and Grinding, both Manual and CNC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and resolve issues with repair processes, engine components, and approved technical data to improve processes cost-effectively without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate with Production Managers to implement strategies that reduce rework and improve the quality of repair processes. Continuously review and enhance processes to improve efficiency and reduce component turn time.
  • Develop and update work instructions, tooling, and fixturing to support production needs. Assist in the specification and implementation of new materials, processes, or technologies.
  • Ensure all processes meet quality and testing requirements in accordance with FAA-approved technical data and industry standards.
  • Communicate effectively on repair processes, problem-solving, quality improvements, and process development. Provide training to employees based on company or industry standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, etc.) from an accredited institution, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 5 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex technical documentation, including OEM repair manuals, FAA regulations, and blueprints.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience in machining (Turning, Milling, Grinding) and CNC programming.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Solid understanding of engineering principles, equipment, and systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Experience with process implementation and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to design tooling and fixturing, including knowledge of GD&T, construction methods, and material selection.
