Location: Carmel, Indiana

MIDCONTINENT INDEPENDENT SYSTEM OPERATOR INC is seeking a Senior Technology Portfolio Leader. In this pivotal role, you will support executive leadership and team members across a diverse array of initiatives. Your primary focus will be on the creation and enhancement of processes and tools that shape product vision and strategic roadmaps, enabling the organization to fulfill its objectives. You will oversee a dedicated team of product managers responsible for developing and maintaining roadmaps that address strategic operational challenges and system lifecycle requirements. Collaboration with leaders from our digital technology and operations teams will be essential to drive product strategy and adapt our offerings to meet evolving needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a strategic advisor across the organization, guiding cross-functional teams in designing solutions that align with defined strategic goals.
  • Manage technology product roadmaps by partnering with stakeholders to establish clear goals and objectives that support the overall strategy.
  • Facilitate the synthesis and sequencing of strategic inputs that contribute to long-term objectives and roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with portfolio teams to identify dependencies and implement risk mitigation strategies that enhance the planning and delivery of technology solutions.
  • Ensure that delivery teams comprehend the vision, key objectives, and scope of solutions outlined in the roadmap.
  • Support organizational transformation management initiatives.
  • Assess and manage the performance of direct reports, including the development of plans that align with individual career aspirations and the organization's ongoing requirements.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • A minimum of five years in a leadership role, managing team performance, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Demonstrated experience in defining and evaluating technologies, as well as managing the implementation of multi-year strategic roadmaps.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and address strategic and business needs effectively.
  • Broad understanding of technology trends and applications.
  • Strong business acumen combined with technical expertise to engage in problem-solving with both business and technical teams.
  • Ability to build positive relationships through collaboration with other business leaders to create roadmaps that meet their needs.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; an MBA or MS degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience with Aha roadmap software is advantageous.

Appropriate level will be determined based on experience and expertise.
