As a Purchasing Associate, your primary role will be to acquire goods, materials, and services to fulfill the operational requirements of the company, while considering factors such as cost, quality, and timely delivery to maintain a steady supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and submit purchase orders in accordance with established protocols to meet urgent demands and quick turnaround times.
  • Verify that invoices received from suppliers align with the projected forecasts.
  • Conduct daily reviews of open purchase orders to ensure accuracy and timely receipt.
  • Address potential issues by maintaining proactive communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Facilitate the payment process for purchase orders by receiving invoices and ensuring they match the corresponding line items.
  • Engage with internal customers and/or vendors to resolve discrepancies between invoices and orders.
  • Manage purchase order lifecycle by ensuring the closure and completeness of all orders.
  • Assist in the onboarding of suppliers and manage contract agreements in collaboration with the Procurement Coordinator.
  • Ensure that all vendors comply with established standards.
  • Utilize advanced Excel spreadsheets and formulas to analyze, manipulate, and act on data effectively.
  • Guarantee that all purchase orders are created in accordance with the Procurement/Purchasing Policy.
  • Minimal travel may be required, not exceeding 10%.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A valid driver's license may be required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field from an accredited institution, along with 2-5 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation: $66,560 - $66,570 per year

Shift: Regular full-time
