We are seeking a talented and dedicated Systems Integration Lead Engineer to become a pivotal part of our team at Mclaurin Aerospace. Your expertise will play a crucial role in the integration efforts for the Gateway Ready Avionic Integration Lab (GRAIL), a significant initiative within the Gateway Program aimed at lunar exploration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert and lead the integration activities for GRAIL.
  • Collaborate effectively with lab personnel, partners, and stakeholders to ascertain interface and testing requirements.
  • Utilize your knowledge of interfaces to ensure the lab's design meets testing objectives.
  • Develop a deep understanding of lab verification processes and ensure the facility is suitable for assigned testing.
  • Assist in the testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of lab equipment to confirm compliance with requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of integration processes, specifications, configurations, and testing outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and safety standards.
  • Provide support to lab personnel and external clients regarding integrated systems and specifications.
  • Continuously evaluate documents, policies, and procedures for future lab configurations.
  • Participate in system requirements reviews, preliminary design reviews, and critical design reviews.
  • Foster effective communication and organization within a collaborative team environment.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering is typically required, along with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering or systems engineering is essential.
  • Proven experience in integrating complex hardware and software systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and debugging capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
  • Familiarity with testing principles, tools, and processes necessary for developing test requirements.
  • Understanding of common concepts and practices in the space hardware sector, including mechanical and electrical system design.
  • Proficient in preparing written documentation and delivering presentations in various meetings.
  • Capable of organizing and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working effectively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Flight Hardware and/or Flight Processes is advantageous.
  • Experience with NASA processes is a plus.
