Wood is in search of Pursuit Leaders to enhance the capability and operational execution of our Systems Integration division across the Americas. This division plays a crucial role within the Digital Consulting sector of Wood's Consulting Business Unit.

Our Systems Integration division is recognized globally as a leader in Process Automation, Digital Integration, Networks, and Cybersecurity.

We engage throughout the asset lifecycle, from initial consulting and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) to comprehensive execution. Projects vary in scale based on client needs, encompassing consulting (technical guidance, early project support, advisory), systems integration (integrated client teams, program/project/package management through execution and handover), and Main Automation Contractor (turnkey delivery of automation packages).

Wood operates multiple offices throughout the USA and provides hybrid working arrangements. Travel will be necessary to connect with colleagues, clients, and project sites.

Authorization to work lawfully in the US is required.

The Role

The Pursuit Leaders will collaborate closely with our vertical market Business Managers, Business Development account managers, and subject matter experts to refine and promote our Systems Integration offerings to potential clients in our primary markets of Oil and Gas, Energy Transition, and Refining and Chemicals. You will partner with the Wood business development team to expand, track, and oversee our sales pipeline, ensuring sustainable business growth.

As a Pursuit Leader, you will possess the expertise to identify market trends and client-specific opportunities for a variety of Wood's proprietary digital solutions. You will be tasked with identifying, validating, and leading key prospects and opportunities. This role demands a leader capable of developing winning strategies and market engagement plans to foster long-term sustainable growth.

In this position, you will engage with various key stakeholders, including external clients, the business unit leadership team, and the extensive internal network within Wood's global framework. You will be responsible for transitioning scopes into the delivery team, ensuring a seamless transition and project initiation.

The ideal candidate should have a background in the technical sales of automation-related solutions, addressing some of our clients' most intricate challenges.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive Systems Integration growth in designated areas through close collaboration with Business Development.

Develop and manage a business plan, driving sales, bids, and tender activities, particularly in Oil and Gas, Energy Transition, and Refining and Chemicals.

To support ongoing growth, ensure the organization provides responsive, reliable, and cost-effective services to target markets, collaborating across business units and actively leveraging Wood solutions to meet customer needs.

Enhance customer relationships through open, honest, and effective communication. Collaborate with customer-facing teams to refine scope of work/offering and deliver the required level of service.

Act as an ambassador for collaboration by working with representatives from the Wood Growth and Development team and other business units on strategic project pursuits.

Lead the pursuit of high-value opportunities, ensuring the business remains focused on winning.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree-level education in business, engineering, software product development, or a related technical field.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • At least 15 years in a technical sales role related to automation & systems integration and digital solutions within the Oil & Gas, Energy Transition, and Refining & Chemical sectors.
  • Proven success in client account growth with established relationships in Oil & Gas, Energy Transition, and Refining & Chemical.
  • A leader with a strong desire to succeed, leveraging a broad industry network.
  • Strategic thinker.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, business acumen, and an entrepreneurial spirit to deliver value through Wood's portfolio.
  • Ability to stay updated with multi-sector industry trends, developments, and technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively, building trust with peers and leaders.
  • Ability to foster partnerships and work collaboratively to achieve shared objectives.
  • Willingness to travel 15% - 25%.
