Wood is on the lookout for Pursuit Leaders to enhance the capability and operational delivery of our Systems Integration division across the Americas. Our Systems Integration sector is a vital component of Digital Consulting within Wood's Consulting Business Unit.

As one of the largest Systems Integration firms globally, Wood specializes in Process Automation, Digital Integration, Networks, and Cybersecurity.

We engage throughout the asset lifecycle, from initial consulting and FEED to comprehensive execution. Our projects vary in scale based on client needs, encompassing consulting (technical expertise, early project support, advisory), systems integration (integrated client teams, program/project/package management through execution and handover), and Main Automation Contractor (turnkey delivery of automation packages).

Wood operates multiple offices throughout the USA and provides hybrid working arrangements. Some travel will be necessary to connect with colleagues, clients, and project sites.

Authorization to work lawfully in the US is required.

THE ROLE

The Pursuit Leaders will collaborate closely with our vertical market Business Managers, Business Development account managers, and subject matter experts to shape and promote our Systems Integration offerings to potential clients across our primary markets: Oil and Gas, Energy Transition, and Refining and Chemicals. You will partner with the Wood business development team to expand, track, and oversee our sales pipeline, ensuring sustainable business growth.

As a Pursuit Leader, you will possess the expertise to identify market trends and client-specific opportunities for a variety of Wood's proprietary digital solutions. Your responsibilities will include identifying, validating, and leading key prospects and opportunities. This role demands a leader capable of developing winning strategies and market engagement plans to foster long-term sustainable growth.

In this position, you will engage with several key stakeholders, including external clients, the business unit leadership team, and the extensive internal network within Wood's global framework. You will be accountable for transitioning scopes into the delivery team, ensuring a seamless transition and project initiation.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the technical sales of automation-related solutions, addressing some of our clients' most intricate challenges.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drive Systems Integration growth in designated areas through close collaboration with Business Development.
  • Develop and manage a business plan, leading sales, bids, and tender activities, particularly in Oil and Gas, Energy Transition, and Refining and Chemicals.
  • Ensure the organization delivers responsive, reliable, and cost-effective services that meet target market needs, collaborating across business units and leveraging Wood solutions to address customer requirements.
  • Enhance customer relationships through open, honest, and effective communication. Collaborate with customer-facing teams to refine scope of work/offering and deliver the required level of service.
  • Act as an ambassador for collaboration by partnering with Wood's Growth and Development team representatives and other business units on strategic project pursuits.
  • Lead the pursuit of high-value opportunities, ensuring the business remains focused on winning.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree in business, engineering, software product development, or a related technical field.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • At least 15 years in a technical sales role within automation & systems integration and digital sectors, specifically in Oil & Gas, Energy Transition, and Refining & Chemical industries.
  • Proven success in client account growth with established relationships in Oil & Gas, Energy Transition, and Refining & Chemical sectors.
  • A leader with a determination to succeed, leveraging a broad industry network.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and business acumen.
  • Demonstrates capability to stay updated with multi-sector industry trends, developments, and technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and build trust with peers and leaders.
  • Ability to foster partnerships and work collaboratively to achieve shared objectives.
  • Willingness to travel 15% - 25%.
