This role requires a versatile professional with a strong background in the development, integration, and testing of both Manned and Unmanned subsystems and platforms.

The AISR team at Technology Service Corporation (TSC) is responsible for the design, construction, and operation of a range of manned and unmanned systems, ensuring continuous operations across various global locations.

This position necessitates an individual who is knowledgeable about all stages of the product life cycle, from initial design through to operational deployment.

The selected candidate will be expected to thoroughly understand the Special Mission or UAS platform.

Key activities include systems analysis to support requirements development and verification, requirements breakdown across subsystems, and defining interfaces across subsystems encompassing electrical, mechanical, and logical aspects.
Support for subsystem, system, and flight test planning is essential.
Collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team of systems, hardware, mechanical, software, and firmware engineers is crucial to develop comprehensive solutions and products.
Engagement in all phases of detailed system and subsystem development activities for UAS subsystems and platforms is required, including preliminary analysis, prototyping, end-item development, and evaluation in both laboratory and field test settings.
Analysis of data obtained from laboratory and/or field testing is also a key responsibility.
Lead by example to uphold systems engineering processes and methodologies.
Collaborate with a diverse team both locally and across various locations.
Work closely with product owners to create technical roadmaps and corresponding requirements.
Engage with the production team to establish production-level requirements that ensure manufacturability and sustainability.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline with at least 10 years of industry experience, or a minimum of 10 years as a UAS Systems Engineer/Special Mission Aircraft Systems Engineer.

Essential Experience:
Integration and optimization of avionics into UAS or General Aviation aircraft.
Integration of payloads into UAS or General Aviation aircraft (e.g., EO/IR, communications, EW, etc.).
EMI/EMC mitigation through design and manufacturing practices.
Calculating both theoretical and actual flight performance.

Proven technical leadership and subject matter expertise are essential.
Excellent organizational and communication skills are required.
Ability to prioritize tasks and enhance productivity is necessary.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET DoD Clearance.
U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in planning and executing 'first flight' field tests.
Familiarity with rotary engines and electrical generation systems.
Experience with SATCOM integration and operations.
Knowledge of alternative navigation and timing solutions.
Experience in designing, building, and testing subsystems for airborne platforms.
Experience in defining line replacement units to meet operational-level requirements.
Understanding of ISR payloads, capabilities, and missions.
Experience with field testing in challenging environments.
Ability to develop requirements from vague customer needs.
Experience providing customer support both domestically and internationally.
