Responsibilities
  • Registration and Scheduling

    • Obtain necessary signatures and insurance cards
    • Generate facesheets and blueplates as required
  • Financial Clearance
    • Inform patients of estimated self-pay balances
    • Collect payments and educate patients on financial assistance programs
    • Proactively escalate financially unsecured accounts
  • Communication and Customer Service
    • Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff
    • Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and other hospital staff
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Perform intake tasks, including phone calls, scheduling orders, and walk-in patients
    • Utilize analytical skills to prioritize workload and manage time effectively
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school graduate or equivalent
    • At least two years of experience in a hospital or medical setting
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Ability to communicate effectively
    • Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital billing procedures
    • Basic computer skills and ability to access internet and other programs
