DESCRIPTION

This role is classified as a Safety-Sensitive position. Candidates who successfully navigate the interview process will be required to undergo drug and alcohol testing.

The primary objective of this position is to design and implement programs within the Community Services Division. The Theatre Program Coordinator will play a key role in leading and facilitating activities at the designated park or facility. Responsibilities may encompass areas of expertise such as performing arts, cultural initiatives, or community engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties:
  • Effectively communicate with others in both spoken and written English to ensure the safe and efficient operations of the facility.
  • Engage with patrons to foster a positive customer experience.
  • Provide accurate information regarding available activities and services.
  • Plan, organize, and lead specialized programs tailored to community needs.
  • Supervise the facility and participants to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the assigned area.
  • Propose new programs, activities, and special events.
  • Enforce rules and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of staff and participants.
  • Utilize facility management software for processing registrations and admissions, balancing cash drawers, preparing bank deposits, and maintaining financial records.
  • Keep precise records and reports.
  • Manage schedules and calendars effectively.
  • Provide assistance as needed, including administering CPR and using an AED device. Order supplies and equipment for programs and activities.
  • Operate and maintain audio/visual equipment and program supplies.
  • Plan and coordinate special events.
  • Be flexible with work hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Engage in light to medium work that involves walking or standing for extended periods and regularly exerting between 20 and 50 pounds of force.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
  • This position will focus on programming for youth aged 6 to 18.
  • Assist with Theatre programs and develop engaging initiatives for the performing arts.
  • Collaborate with an established team on group projects while managing individual programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Certifications and Licenses:
  • Must hold a valid driver's license in the State of Tennessee.
  • Current CPR/AED certifications are required or the ability to obtain them within six (6) months of hire. Failure to secure CPR/AED certifications within this timeframe will result in termination.
