Role Responsibilities

As a Patient Registration Specialist, your primary duties will include ensuring accurate and timely patient registration. You will conduct interviews to gather essential account information and verify insurance details.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient interviews at the workstation or bedside to collect necessary information.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient charts.
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary pre-certifications.
  • Calculate and collect patient liability amounts.
  • Secure all required signatures for treatment and information release.
  • Process patient charts according to established protocols.
  • Gather identifying and demographic information from patients and responsible parties.
  • Accurately assign insurance plans.
  • Verify insurance benefits and initiate pre-certification as needed.
  • Explain policies regarding services, pricing, and billing.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
