About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Corporate Relations Coordinator to join our Development and Communications team at the Downtown Women's Center. This is a full-time, non-exempt position that will play a critical role in building and maintaining relationships with corporate partners, coordinating volunteer activities, and supporting the Center's mission to end homelessness for women in greater Los Angeles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Corporate Partnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with corporate partners, identifying opportunities for collaboration and securing resources to support the Center's operations.
  • Volunteer Coordination: Manage communication and coordination with volunteer groups from corporate and community partners, identifying volunteer opportunities that align with the group's interests and coordinating all logistics.
  • Event Planning: Collaborate with the Development team to plan and execute large-scale events, such as the Homeless Count, Needs Assessment, and Every Woman Gala.
  • Database Management: Accurately track interactions, service hours, fundraising outcomes, and other metrics related to corporate and community partners, maintaining up-to-date information in the donor database.
  • Communication: Provide presentations, host tours, and assist with volunteer orientations and trainings to educate supporters on women's homelessness and the Center's approach.
  • Reporting: Collaborate with the Communications team to promote volunteer opportunities and spotlight stories, images, and testimonials from corporate and community partners.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in corporate relations, event planning, or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of building meaningful relationships and coordinating projects.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, communications, or non-profit management.
  • Commitment: Commitment to racial equity and social justice, with a recognition of the role of race, gender, and other identities in contributing to homelessness and inequity.
