Job Overview

The Patient Engagement Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing patient experiences by conducting outbound communications with various patient demographics, including medical, dental, and mental health clients. This position involves confirming and updating patient information, managing appointment schedules, and documenting essential details regarding patient interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outbound calls to patients, ensuring accurate confirmation of demographic and structured data.
  • Manage appointment logistics, including creating, rescheduling, and canceling appointments as necessary.
  • Document detailed notes in patient records regarding cancellations, rescheduling, and other relevant information.
  • Assist patients in navigating their healthcare needs, including referrals to other departments.
  • Support patient flow by facilitating the completion of required documentation and managing walk-in patients.
  • Travel to various clinic locations as directed by management to provide support where needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Proven ability to travel to different clinic locations; bilingual skills are preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential; familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Practice Management Systems (PMS) is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
