Role of the Communications Coordinator

The Communications Coordinator within our Behavioral Health Department is essential in promoting our mission and vision by:

  • Delivering exceptional mental health and substance use services to at-risk populations.
  • Advocating for positive life outcomes and embracing cultural diversity.
Key Responsibilities

As a Communications Coordinator, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing events in alignment with grant requirements, ensuring all timelines are adhered to.
  • Facilitating face-to-face, online, and print communication strategies, coordinating with vendors and partners for outreach initiatives.
  • Creating, distributing, and maintaining promotional materials such as brochures and educational content.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with community leaders, local organizations, and authorities.
  • Collaborating with team members to support community-driven actions focused on health and wellness.
  • Organizing events that engage local residents and partners effectively.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, public health, or a related discipline; marketing or communications degrees will also be considered.
  • Experience with creative platforms for community engagement, including design, photography, or video production.
  • A solid understanding of the healthcare and behavioral health sectors.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Reliable transportation for attending various events and activities.
