Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and direct the daily operations of both Respiratory Therapy and Neuro-diagnostic Services, ensuring that standards of care are upheld.
  • Monitor productivity daily to facilitate timely staffing decisions while adhering to operational guidelines.
  • Manage accurate timekeeping for all direct reports in line with directives from financial leadership.
  • Collaborate with departmental managers, physicians, and administration to strategize and implement growth initiatives for Respiratory Services and Neuro-diagnostics, aligning with community needs.
  • Possess the ability to perform all tasks required of staff-level Respiratory Therapists, including Pulmonary Function tests. Maintain ongoing communication with direct reports regarding the progress towards organizational and unit-specific objectives.
  • Ensure that adequate equipment and supplies are available for the department's effective operation.
  • Delegate responsibilities and tasks to direct reports while maintaining accountability for departmental functions.
  • Oversee all aspects of staff development, including recruitment, onboarding, retention, supervision, competency assessments, and professional advancement.
  • Establish and monitor the budgetary requirements for clinical services.
  • Engage in the review and revision of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with hospital regulations and standards set by accrediting bodies.
  • Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
  • Required: Minimum of 2 years in healthcare management and 5 years in a clinical role within Respiratory Therapy.
  • Preferred: 5 years in healthcare management with a focus on Respiratory Therapy.
