Title: Community Service Officer

Job Overview:

The Community Service Officer plays a crucial role in assisting and guiding the campus populace and visitors regarding parking services. This position is responsible for enforcing parking regulations, issuing citations when necessary, and placing appropriate signage, including reserved and temporary parking indicators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately register vehicles and distribute parking permits as required.
  • Perform general administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate with the Parking Services Coordinator and management to monitor and document lot usage and inventory.
  • Educate students on institutional policies and regulations regarding the operation of university-owned vehicles, including practical driving familiarization.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates should possess some relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that equips them with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for this role. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential, as the position involves operating a state vehicle.

Additional Skills and Experience:

  • Strong analytical skills to assess needs and implement effective solutions for various parking requests.
  • Familiarity with university parking regulations and local ordinances.
  • Ability to generate reports and track key performance indicators within the parking operations.
  • Prior experience in customer service or parking management, ideally within a higher education context.
