Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate Certified Respiratory Care Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will:
  • Administer various respiratory therapies to patients of all ages according to physician directives.
  • Operate and monitor mechanical ventilators and perform arterial punctures and blood gas analyses.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, including rapid response and code blue calls.
  • Maintain adherence to quality control protocols and verify physician orders prior to treatment.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately in our electronic health record system.
  • Participate in departmental activities, including mentoring new staff and contributing to educational initiatives.
  • Conduct regular equipment checks to ensure operational readiness.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical respiratory care setting, preferably in NICU.
  • A degree from an accredited School of Respiratory Care (Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • A current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
  • BLS certification and additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, and STABLE are preferred.
