Key Responsibilities
As the Head of Respiratory Therapy Services, you will:
- Provide leadership and direction for the daily operations of Respiratory Therapy and Neuro-diagnostic Services.
- Ensure that standards of care are maintained through effective processes and mechanisms.
- Review productivity daily to facilitate timely staffing decisions.
- Collaborate with departmental managers, physicians, and administration to strategize for the growth and development of services.
- Perform all tasks required of staff-level Respiratory Therapists, including Pulmonary Functions.
- Communicate ongoing status updates regarding organizational and unit-based goals to direct reports.
- Ensure the availability of adequate equipment and materials for departmental operations.
- Delegate tasks while maintaining accountability for departmental activities.
- Oversee all aspects of staff development, including recruitment, orientation, retention, and professional growth.
- Establish and monitor the clinical service's budgetary requirements.
- Participate in the review and revision of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Engage in professional development activities.
Qualifications
Required: Minimum of 2 years of healthcare management experience and 5 years in a clinical role within Respiratory Therapy.
Preferred: 5 years of healthcare management experience with a focus on Respiratory Therapy.
