Job Summary:

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a part-time assistant coach for its softball team. As a member of the coaching staff, you will assist the head coach with practice and game preparation, as well as contribute to recruiting, academics, fundraising, and the off-season program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the head coach with practice and game preparation
  • Contribute to recruiting efforts, including identifying and evaluating potential student-athletes
  • Support the academic success of student-athletes, including monitoring progress and providing guidance
  • Assist with fundraising efforts to support the softball program
  • Develop and implement an off-season training program for student-athletes

Requirements:

  • Experience coaching at the high school, college, or travel ball level
  • Strong knowledge of softball rules and strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Experience working with NCAA Division III institutions
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
