Job Summary

Prove is seeking an experienced Vice President of Sales Engineering to lead our global team of pre-sales engineers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of partnering with Sales, Product, and other peer leaders to drive efficiency of investment for Prove.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Manage, hire, and scale a growing team of highly technical Sales Engineers supporting North American, Global, and Partner Sales Directors.
  • Process Optimization: Refine and iterate the sales engineering playbook promoting repeatable processes and scalability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Sales, Implementation, and Product leadership to identify areas of improvement in our processes and build durable customer relationships off of value realization and impactful solutions.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Obtain and maintain subject matter expertise in all of Prove's solutions and technology stack.
  • Strategic Product Direction: Work cross-functionally within Prove to promote and influence strategic product direction, drive competitive differentiation, and nurture a transparent, collaborative SE team.
  • Service Development: Ensure the organization develops and maintains a catalog of Sales Engineering services with repeatable, scalable artifacts measurable by SLAs and KPIs.
  • Market Trends and Best Practices: Stay on top of market trends and optimizations of Sales Engineering best practices and apply where opportunities arise.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay informed with key industry trends & market disruptors, through reading, workshops, webinars.
  • Professional Network: Be an advocate of Prove's capabilities within your professional network.
  • Talent Management: Lead performance and key talent ensuring that we are taking the necessary actions to attract and retain top talent, further develop a diverse team, and manage performance at all levels.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Leadership Experience: 5+ years of Sales Engineering leadership experience, including prior experience leading first-line managers and individual contributing Sales Engineers.
  • Global Sales Support: Experience in North America and Global Sales support of both direct sales and partnerships.
  • Technical Expertise: 10+ years experience with architected pre-sales solutions - creating defined processes, guidelines, and best practices in a highly technical, rapidly evolving SaaS environment.
  • Collaborative Leadership: A collaborative leadership approach with a focus on teaching, mentoring, and growing your team.
  • Cloud-Based Solutions: 5+ years demonstrated experience assisting Sales teams with cloud-based solutions with a firm grasp of the customer journey from prospect to revenue live.
  • Technical Communication: Technically curious leader able to articulate the value Prove's technology solutions offer for digital identity across all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Executive Communication: Proven executive communication skills both written and oral.
  • Technical Experience: Extensive technical experience with implementing REST style API's in a rapid growth startup environment.
  • API Authentication: Solid understanding of oAuth and other API authentication technologies.
  • API Integrations: Excellent understanding of API integrations from standard API specifications in one or more programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, C++, Python, etc.
  • Customized Workflows: Ability to build customized workflows by engaging with customers.
  • Security Concepts: Understanding of basic security concepts such as encryption, hashing, behavior biometrics, and native app SDK's.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary Range: The anticipated salary range for this role in New York is $240,000- $250,000 plus variable commission / company bonus.
