Job Summary

This is a leadership role that oversees the maintenance operations of refrigeration systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a technical team and driving efficiency improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of maintenance employees to achieve production results and improve individual skills.
  • Direct daily maintenance operations to minimize operating costs and optimize maintenance efficiencies.
  • Manage site-wide refrigeration functions, including mechanical repair and ammonia system maintenance.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with hazmat, PSM, health & safety, environmental standards, and equipment operations.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Collaborate with Engineering & Technical Services to introduce capital projects and improve facility operations.
  • Manage employees, including screening, interviewing, and hiring candidates, administering disciplinary actions, and recommending performance improvement actions.
  • Participate in team development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or 4 years related work experience with a minimum of 1 year experience leading a maintenance team.
  • Experience with refrigeration systems and PSM.
  • Ability to demonstrate and share knowledge of refrigeration systems, Hazmat, mechanical systems, electrical, safety, and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, human resource management, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred experience within a food processing organization.
