Role Overview:

The Fleet Operations Supervisor will oversee all facets of driver management, including routing, dispatching, and maintaining effective communication with drivers. This role is crucial in ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction through strategic process implementation and team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor driver performance continuously to ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Compile and analyze daily reports to track load efficiency and driver productivity.
  • Plan and coordinate driver schedules to ensure compliance with duty regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of service failures and on-time performance metrics.
  • Manage driver shift hours to prevent violations of service regulations.
  • Assess and adjust driver routes to minimize risks and enhance compliance.
  • Provide training and mentorship to drivers, fostering strong professional relationships.
  • Develop weekend service plans in collaboration with customer service representatives.
  • Oversee time-off requests to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Utilize standardized communication tools to relay critical information effectively.
  • Address operational challenges and driver concerns promptly to ensure load recovery.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of driver activities and freight discrepancies.
  • Promote a safety-first culture by adhering to all company policies and regulations.
  • Foster teamwork by embracing diverse work requirements and supporting colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in logistics or transportation management.
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience in a relevant environment.
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule.
  • Strong team-oriented mindset with a commitment to operational success.
  • Proactive self-starter with excellent time management skills.
  • Customer-focused with a proven ability to build positive relationships.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office, with a willingness to learn new software.
